Well, this new stage of our life finds us at a track meet every Saturday. And today, it was truly spring, almost summer weather. (high 70's) Well, as you would imagine, we all have a little bit of color to our skin. But it was great to not be sitting in the freezing wind. K did very well in the mile, and not so well in the two mile. She has been suffering stomach cramps for the last two days, and they decided to hit on the 2nd lap, (there are 8) but she did finish the race, and wasn't even in the end few. B spent the day with a friend, and then had a swing dance performance. D was in heaven spending the day with friends who love to be true boys! Unfortunately, our yard still looks like winter, with spurts of green weeds coming up, and not much gardening going on yet. That will have to wait for another day!
Also in this new stage of life, I found K and myself looking at patterns and material for a prom dress. Although some beautiful fabric was found and purchased, a pattern was not! That may be a problem, but I will keep you posted on the progress, and with any luck, there may be a picture at the end of this journey!
Good things:
1. track in the sunshine
2. worn out kids
3. a husband who knows I need intervention until 2 am!

Kennedy is lucky to have a Mom who can sew her a beautiful prom dress. Are you going to try and make the pattern?
